TIPS FOR USERS OF SCHOOLTIME SHAMPOO
Treat the entire family on the same day. Change and wash linens, hair pieces, hair brushes/combs and immediate clothing the same day as treatment. Place unwashables such as couch pillows, coats or stuffed animals in a hot clothes dryer for 20 minutes to kill all lice and eggs. This is faster than placing these items in a plastic bag for 2-3 weeks. Vacuum hair strands from furniture or carpets. Lice cannot live off of the head, however, eggs that fell out of the head and remain attached to hair strands may not die. To speed the lice elimination process: during the last 5 minutes of using Schooltime Shampoo use a comb that will easily go through the hair and comb all extra lice and nits from the hair-when finished, rinse hair thoroughly. May use a cream rinse if desired. There is no need to use toxic chemical sprays on furniture or bedding. This only exposes the family to unnecessary chemicals. Be absolutely sure that all hair is totally saturated with the product for 15 minutes. Do not leave any dry hair strands as all the lice will collect on areas where there is no shampoo. During the last 5 minutes use wet hands to rework the shampoo through the hair. The shampoo will form into a thick mousse. Comb dry hair as much as possible with a lice comb to remove any remaining eggs or egg casings. ****After completing two 20 minute applications within 2 weeks, it is helpful to continue using the shampoo up to 2 times per week as a regular cosmetic shampoo. Place small amount on wet hair, lather well and rinse. May use cream rinse if desired. Continuing to use Schooltime Shampoo in this way has shown to help hair remain clean even when children return to highly infested environments.
